Established in 1979, it has a national scope and is legally recognized for the management of the Genealogical Book of the Murciano-Granadina breed, according to the resolution of the General Directorate of Livestock Production and Markets of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of December 29, 1992. It is responsible for the management of the Genealogical Book of the Breed and the Conservation and Genetic Improvement Program.
Livestock is a fast growing sector in Spain. However, it is majorly ran by small marginal farmers and landless labours. To shift the sector towards an organized model, the ACRIMUR deploys a RFID-based solution to track and trace goat in the Farms.
HENCODES provided handheld computers to read those implanted RFID tags in goats,Each RFID tag has a unique identification number, just like citizen ID. It is pierced in the ear or implanted in skin of the animal. Once the tag is fixed, more information, such as the animal’s date of birth, breed, milk yield, and owner’s name, can be written on it by HENCODES RFID-enabled handheld data terminal. The device will also contain the Goat’s ID number, date of birth, health records, and migration status.
